| Perla
Ballena is an undisturbed
area of streams, primary rainforest, waterfalls and cascades
overlooking a spectacular section of the Costa Rica South Coast.
The entire coastline, as well as the offshore reef, island, and
rocks are all protected by the Marino Ballena National Park (Parque
Nacional Marino Ballena). The ridges and mountains at the upper
boundary of Perla Ballena and beyond are protected by government
restrictions and dedication to an International Biological Corridor. |
